Parquet - Steamed beech
3-strip steamed beech parquet is produced in following appearance classes:
EXTRA - quartersawn and riftsawn board texture; no slope of grain; no heartwood; smaller knots allowed – 3 mm in diameter if wood-colored, or 1 mm if darker; light discoloration allowed; no checks.
NATUR - riftsawn and flatsawn board texture; lightly sloped grain; coarser structure compared to EXTRA; no heartwood; sound knots 8 mm in diameter, dark knots 2 mm in diameter maximum; medium discoloraton allowed.
STRUKTUR - flatsawn board texture; slope of grain allowed; coarse structure; traces of sapwood or heartwood allowed; sound knots larger than 8mm in diameter, dark knots larger than 2mm in diameter; stronger discoloration allowed.
RUSTIK - flatsawn board texture; markedly coarse structure allowed; heartwood allowed; strong discoloration allowed; all sound knots allowed; filling of cracks and dark knots allowed.
1-strip steamed beech parquet is only produced in EXTRA and NATUR appearance classes.
